  • In life I have navigated the death of a parent to cancer during my twenties, a child having open heart surgery, marriage breakdown and life as a single parent.  I always operate from a non-judgemental position.

Philosophy

My practice is underpinned by the Human Givens understanding of human nature and behaviour and the 3 Principles understanding of psychology.  This is a set of organising ideas that provides an holistic, scientific framework for understanding the way that individuals and society work.

I am non-judgemental and believe that everyone is doing the best they can with their thinking and level of understanding at the time.  We are all works in progress and are doing the best we can with the knowledge and resources we have at that moment.

I also ensure that, no matter what the issue, clients leave appointments feeling better than they arrived.  I use relaxation techniques such as guided imagery to achieve this.
