Helping you feel better, feel freer and get more from your life.
You might be here because something doesn't feel right.
Perhaps you're anxious, overwhelmed or constantly overthinking. You may be struggling with something that has happened, finding yourself reacting more strongly than you'd like, or feeling as though you've lost confidence in yourself.
Maybe you're exhausted from holding everything together.
Or perhaps life looks fine from the outside, but it doesn't feel fine on the inside.
You don't need to know why you feel the way you do.
That's something we can work out together.
Therapy can help you understand what's happening, resolve what's keeping it going and help you move towards a life that feels calmer, easier and more your own.
What would you like to be free from?
People come to me for many different reasons, including:
Anxiety and overthinking.
Stress and overwhelm.
Trauma and difficult past experiences.
Low confidence or self-esteem.
An inner critic that never seems satisfied.
People-pleasing, perfectionism or putting everyone else first.
Fears or emotional reactions that don't seem to make sense.
Relationship difficulties or repeating patterns.
Burnout and the pressure of holding too much responsibility.
Feeling stuck, lost or unsure what you want.
A difficult change, loss or period of life.
Or simply the feeling that you don't want to carry on living the way you are.
Sometimes you know exactly what the problem is.
Sometimes you just know you want to feel different.
Both are perfectly good places to begin.
Freedom From. Freedom To.
Therapy is often about becoming free from something.
Anxiety. Fear. Trauma. Overthinking. Self-doubt. Emotional pain. Old experiences that still affect you. Ways of coping that aren't helping anymore.
But freedom isn't only about what you leave behind.
It's also about what becomes possible when those things take up less space in your life.
More confidence.
More choice.
More energy.
More peace of mind.
Better relationships.
Greater trust in yourself.
More enjoyment.
The freedom to make decisions based on what you actually want rather than what you fear.
Freedom from what's holding you back.
Freedom to live more fully.
Why do I feel like this?
Our brains are constantly learning from what happens to us.
Experiences, relationships, stress, trauma and the environments we've lived and worked in can all shape how we respond to life.
Sometimes those responses are obvious.
Sometimes they aren't.
You might know that something is safe but still feel anxious.
You might want to say no but find yourself saying yes.
You might be successful and capable but still doubt yourself.
You might react strongly to something and have no idea why.
You might find yourself repeating something you promised yourself you would never do again.
These responses aren't always conscious choices.
Part of therapy is discovering what is driving them and helping your mind and nervous system learn something different.
How I Work
I'm a qualified Human Givens psychotherapist, trauma specialist and coach.
My approach is warm, practical and solution-focused.
We will look at what is happening in your life now, what may be contributing to it and, most importantly, what will help things change.
I draw on psychotherapy, trauma-informed approaches and coaching, which means our work can include both healing what has happened and helping you create what comes next.
You don't have to tell me every detail of your past.
You don't have to spend months analysing your childhood.
And you don't have to arrive knowing what's wrong with you.
We start with what's happening now and how you would like things to be different.
My work is generally brief and focused, so you may need fewer sessions than you imagine.
Session Details

About Me
I'm a certified Human Givens psychotherapist, trauma specialist and trained Barefoot coach. I work with both men and women across personal and professional life.
I'm also the author of six books.
Before retraining, I worked across organisational consultancy, including Accenture, manufacturing, education and the charitable and non-profit sectors.
This gives me a grounded understanding of the pressures of work, leadership, relationships, responsibility and everyday life alongside my therapeutic experience.
At the heart of my work is something very simple:
I want to help people become freer.
Freer from the things that unnecessarily limit their lives, and freer to experience more of the life available to them.
Ready for something to change?
You don't need to have worked out what the problem is.
You just need to know that you'd like something to be different.
We can start there.
